Quell: put an end to a rebellion or other disorder, typically by the use of force.

Bluff: an attempt to deceive someone into believing that one can or will do something.

Dour: relentlessly severe, stern, or gloomy in manner or appearance.

Potent: having great power, influence, or effect.

Deceit: the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth.

Petrified: so frightened and terrified that one is unable to move.

Rogues: a person whose behavior one disapproves of, but who is nonetheless likable or attractive.
